I've been away for several months, and now on my return I've found that every single post in every forum is listed as "unread". It makes it kind of hard to catch up on what's happened recently... This feature can't be relying on a cookie or some other client-side setting, could it?

Sometimes when I go into a subfourm, read a few unread threads then close my browser, then go back into the subforum later, all the posts are marked as read (even tho I've only read a few). This only happens occasionally tho, and I'm using the same computer and browser the whole time.
