Ive never base jumped, but I really can't think of anything more exhilarating. Im guessing you would start off skydiving? I just want to learn more than what i can read off wikipedia.

If someone could just tell me anything..where i could find training, if it exhists...

anything you think i should know? please help!

To start, you probably want to read all (and I do mean all) of these articles.

Read the articles and give the matter some long, hard, and serious consideration. Though this may sound obvious, it is important to have a firm understanding on what it is you are trying to get into. Do not take the warnings lightly.

Most people will tell you that some skydiving experience is a prerequisite, and they have a good point. It will be to your benefit to spend every waking moment searching, reading, and learning about BASE. Try to soak up all the information you can find. There is a lot of of it on the internet; you just have to do a little searching. Granted, the more advanced technical/rigging topics can be difficult to understand or follow without prior information.

in skydiving, you can appear at a dropzone and say "I'm ready to skydive!" someone who gets paid will walk you through the process.

in BASE, there is no such structure. you must earn respect by making an effort. it is not simply given. if you really want to know about the sport, search this site. read and study what you find. putting in the work will show commitment and that you take BASE jumping seriously. (if you do not, you can easily end up in a hospital.)

if you do not take us seriously by reviewing existing information, why should experienced jumpers take you seriously? few will want to be there if/when you get hurt...
