You need a template??!!

It's a black bag with a draw cord closure and a couple of straps. That's as complex as it gets........

Stash Bag Template

Cut a rectangular piece of black fabric: 21" x 60"

Cut 2 strips of binding tape: 1.5" x 11.5"

Cut 2 strips of nylon webbing for shoulder straps:
I used 1 & 3/4 inch and made them 27" long but
this will be dependant on your torso and rig size.

Sew the 2 strips of binding tape on the inside of
the material, put top piece about 5" to 6" from
raw edge of large rectangle. Sew bottom strip
on about 17" lower --- measurements taken on
outer edges.

Sew straps onto outside of bag such that the
threads go through the binding tape inside.

Fold the bag in half long ways and sew up both
of the sides, I used 2 rows of stiches. Then pop
a hole for the drawstring, insert a grommet, and
then fold over lip an inch or so and sew 'er up.
Install string and plastic slide lock and your set.

Re: [AndrewKarnowski] Template for stash bag?
I know this is a thread for a template for a stash bag, but if anyone in the UK is looking for something they don't have to order from the States, a paragliding stash bag like this
http://www.ukairsports.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=372
is quite pricey but would do the job well I would imagine...

Have you ever climbed wearing one?

Reason I ask is cause it looks large,
especially since the advert mentions
using for a tandem.

Re: [GreenMachine] Template for stash bag?
I have hiked with a friends, and it's reasonably comfortable.. its a pretty floppy design so can usually be cinched tight with straps. I wouldn't like to do any real climbing with it, but to gather everything up swiftly and make a quick getaway I imagine it would work quite well. It is expensive for what it is, don't know if there are cheaper models out there...
On the other hand, if you are looking for a large bag that doesn't draw together but if large enough to hold a canopy and harness, the ones that come with paragliders occasionally come up on ebay and are quite cheap, around the £25/$50 mark. They are much more comfortable if there is an extended hike involved, and fold/roll up to very small sizes.

After all this BS did you ever get a template?

Such a simple request...such a difficult path.

naw... but who REALLY expects serious answers on this site?

Template for stash bag?
I am new to sewing, so not exactly
sure what qualifies as a "Template" Crazy

However, I posted 3 photos, measurements, and
directions on how to make the exact stash bag I
made from scratch all by myself. This bag works
better for me than the 2 previous bags I have had.

Andrew. Serious answer here.

It's a simple project. You have access to plenty of stash bags you can use as a template.

Post your results.

Good luck
