Hello.....it is still possible to retrofit a Dagger 288 with vents, either from the (a) manufacturer (i do believe no) or from a talented masterrigger?

....and if yes, what do you think, how much it cost?

The amount of work involved post production would suck, 5 rib to rib patches at a 100 bucks a piece. Also, vents could cause your canopy to collapse or worse if it has not been tested with the particular design.

Yes. I'd say about 500 bucks, too. I know that BR (pre-Apex) retrofitted one of their canopies for me, so I would imagine they'd be able to do your Dagger. But, if I were you I'd probably just have a good rigger (one with real experience sewing canopies) do it locally, because the shipping across the pond could be a pain.

I'd recommend using the 5 valve layout (like Troll DW), and something like the MDV, if possible. If Atair was willing to do it, I'd go with that option, but last time I asked (it was several years ago) they were unwilling to do the retrofit on a canopy they hadn't manufactured.

I dont think theres any reason to put vents on a dagger its already a great conopy .
plus with the way a dagger is trimed i think u would loose alot of performance on its flight carecteristics and It will flare like crap

theres no reason to hop on the band wagon and get vent's

I dont have them and im free falling some pretty low stuff

What size is your canopy?

The larger a canopy gets, the more inconsistent the slider down inflation. The pressurization on a Dagger 303 is much worse than on a Dagger 222 (same goes for other canopy models). The vents are going to be much more important on a larger canopy (like the original poster's 288).

I called atair the other day about a reline and there swamped but it might be diffrent for base gear.

and one could always sell there canopy and use the money to buy one with vents.
