make your own, the ones commercially available are pricey.

There's only one "rhino" cam and it's a small lipstick camera on a 4' boom pole that I designed in 1999....Wink

No, this isn't the one i meant, the one I'm after is a small reflective sphere a few inches away from the lense held with a clear tube, seen on JimmyH's videos,

Thanks anyway.

That is a Parabolic mirror on the front, and the lens and mirror cost somewhere around $2000 to make because of the quality of the materials. Dan From Atair made it and from what I know does not have one anymore. However you can make one by buying a mirror from a telescope supply company and mounting it on to a lens for much cheaper

Jason,

What did you use for the stick? (or what material did you use to make it) How much does it weigh?

Thanks,

Aluminum 5052-H32, tubing approx. 1" and .75 (2 telescopic tubes). I ran the cables for the lipstick cam through the tubing. The moment of inertia is high, but the weight was only about a pound. I was definitely a test dummy, learning to only deploy with my head facing downward and not looking up at the slider too early. Otherwise, it's a pretty normal jump and deployment if you follow the rules. The video is absolutely amazing, though.

I agree completely. IMHO, that is some of the best BASE video that exists.
