Re: [gravityboyd] Puerto Rico
Hey man. I am wondering the same thing. I am a jumper up in the Philly area ans will be visiting PR in about a week. You? I've been doing as much work to find objects as possible, but nothing to definite has come my way. Let me know what you hear and when you will be there.

I guess u 2 are coming for the boogie, nice!
I wouldnt bother bringing a base rig...Unimpressed
Definetly no bridges. Theres a few cranes, but city cranes are super hot. Ive been on top of a 300' crane outside the city that I think is jumpable, but thats 1.5hrs from the DZ area. Tallest buildings are in the 20 stories range. Theres a couple of jumpable antenas, but far away from the boogie area. Our E (650'+-) is 10 minutes from the DZ. Super difficult access. I can show it to you from the other side of the valley, but I have never been to the exit point. AFAIK hasnt been jumped in about 2yrs.
If you decide to bring the rig contact me. I can help with the scouting and gc, but I dont promise any action.
Hope that helped.

Yup... boogie bound. Sounds like I'll be leaving the magic backpack at home.

I am going to bring mine along....I am pretty sure. Every time I leave w/o it, I regret it. I can always turn down jumps if I bring it, I can not, however, jump if I don't bring it along. I look forward to meeting you guys and enjoying the boogie, it sure wouldn't hurt to get a jump in while I was there.

All of the above. If you are a good climber, I think its easy to just go up the face.

Nope...

The exit point and LZ are not on federal land. The LZ is private property, but is easy to get out once you land.
Heres a video I took from a cave on the other side of the valley:

Thought I would ask since the location of the Boogie has changed this year. Any one bringing the magic backpack?

BTW, San Juan has a few cranes up, but the 5-0s are everywhere and landing areas are a bit on the tight side.

Best of luck to all.

Note: Governor Fortuno has called up 1,000 soldiers from the National Guard to join the already 19,000 strong police force patrolling Puerto Rico. The guard soldiers will join patrols in high-crime areas of San Juan, Bayamon, Carolina and Ponce.

This goes into effect Feb. 1.

The island is in a tense situation, be careful if you decide to play ninja so you don't end up shot. Smile

I know the guy who opened the cliff. Took him a year to get to the exit point cutting the trail out with machetes. There is an exit launch platform that was put there prior to the fatality. The cliff has a ledge about 200 feet down. Its in a remote area. The trail is probably grown over now.
