Re: [460] Congratulations Iiro
Thanks!

("Journey to the Center" got Best Adventure Film award at 2008 at X-Dance)

"A also want to than my agent, my manager, lawyers..." hehheheee

Seriously. Besides appearing on the screen, Jeb was the other producer, we did this together and he deserves the same credit.

Douggs and Paul Fortun were also amazing on the screen!

One of our four cameramen was Moose, who is a base-jumper / film maker from South Africa.

We were really excited to make a movie about base-jumping into world's deepest cave in China, exploring a new culture and tell personal in-depth stories of the three athletes involved. We wanted to let viewers to learn what motivates them, without marketing the film with the negative aspects of the sport.

After the Travis Pastrana party, the night before, the attendance was weak, but thank you Salt Lake City locals and Jimmy and Martha for showing up.

C'ya!

iiro

P.S. i don't know yet when the movie will be officially out. Probably the earliest in fall 2008

Would b great to get anounces and news about your projects sometimes. Do you post stuff like that anywhere?

Re: [iiro] Congratulations Iiro
Congratulations! That's really exciting news. I heard about this project a while ago, and I'm really looking forward to seeing the film. Is there a website that describes the technical aspects of the project? I'm something of a video geek, and would be interested in the cameras, formats (HD of some sort?), etc. you used.

I have your "Ground is the Limit" DVD, and I'll be adding this new film to my BASE collection as soon as it's available!

Thanks for the support!

We have not finished the web-site yet. Can't wait to post our trailer!

We filmed everything on HDV and then up-converted the project to HDCam at ARRI facilities in Munich and had their colorist to tweak it to make it look closer like film quality.

The poster is at www.3triple7.com

(By the way, me and jeb have nothing to do with the site anymore. Eventually the site will die down, but the philosophy lives on.)

Re: [iiro] Congratulations Iiro
I'm sure you'll let us know as soon as the site is up! I hope the film will show at a big screen theatre here in the UK. (it'll be interesting to see how well the HDV holds up) Do you have plans to release an HD version of the film? Blu-Ray, perhaps?

Hey Rick,

My Rigs don't have dust on them. I offered to pack yours for you the other day just so we could make a jump. Winter Sucks. I know. And Joy needs to make a speedy recovery!
