First off, have a look at this.

This document tries to answer your question pretty well. Definitely give it a look.

Read about the risks (Articles section, on basejumper.com) and consider if this is what you really want to do. Decide if the risks are worth the reward for you.

Interesting title for a post... advice with all the exclamation marks... ever tried a question mark? might help in cases where you seek answers.

good place to start: DO YOUR HOMEWORK!

go to articles section, read what's in there. if you do that, you'll figure it all out. well, not all, but a pretty large section for a start.

if the only thing you do is thinking base is cool and has something to offer to you, and think you can hop of things in a heartbeat, then you are most probably the wrong person for this activity.

go do your homework, and once you have valid questions that are worth my time you can PM me anytime and i promise i will take the time to discuss and explain - but don't expect that people will take their time and help you if you don't offer the respect of figuring out the basics yourself.

Your post will get you no answers to BASE.
Why do you ask questions that are very easy to get the answer to on the computer, its not showing to much motivation on your endWinkEverybody has a different story anyway ,so your story should be unique too,but looking for a quick simple answer to becoming a BASE jumper is probably not going to happenWink

The ideally, start with skydiving. It's nothing like just doing a tandem.

Good luck

I totally agree with Flummi here. A lot of people are going to tell you to do a search. I hope you don't take this as being blown off. The reality is that one of the greatest life-saving skills a BASE jumper can have is the ability to perform independent research.

If you have more specific questions, this community is super helpful, but you can imagine we hear all the time, "Where do I get started?" It's the first sign that maybe someone shouldn't get started at all.

A hatter is a maker or seller of hats. Milliners are a category of hatters who design women's hats. It's often a profitable trade.
