Re: [avenfoto] travel advice..
We've got a good variety of stuff here. The place is a bit like the States in that you WILL need a car to get around. if there are a few of you, it might be worth buying something otherwise rentals won't be too expensive either.
A few people around the country I can put you in contact with depending on where you go.
PM me for more info or drop an email to pocbase1ATgmailDOTcom
Then again, if I had 5k to spare, I would contact riggerlee... and run up and down the mountain every day three weeks prior to the trip...

Re: [avenfoto] travel advice..
For $5K to spend in 2 weeks, I would go to Switzerland. Lots of exits to prevent you from getting bored. If you can make it 2 weeks of actual jumping time (not including air travel which usually kills 2-3 days in my experience) you can easily hop on the EuroRail and hit Brento as well.
Norway would normally be my first choice but the weather is probably not good enough in late May if you only have 2 weeks. June-Aug is better for Norway if you have limited time.
If you go to Lauterbrunnen, you don't need a car. If you go to Brento, you'll need a car, or else very expensive taxis to the exit.
Hope this helps.

Yeah, what Richard said.
Last time i took a group taxi, it cost 7 Euros. That is the cost of 2 birra (beers) for a 45 min drive.....
Hope this helps,
