Ive been winded out twice and fogged out once, so as long as im sitting here inside with crappy weather, tell the story of what your first wingsuit base jump was like.

Re: [hjumper33] First wingsuit flights
My first wingsuit helicopter skydive was interesting, kind squirrley at first and a lot different than taking it out of a plane. I then did a balloon WS skydive and that went well. First WS BASE was at Kjerag #6 in a GTi. It's a little higher BOC handle location on my BASE rig, so I made sure I was used to that. I took a couple of steps, stayed head high with my arms wide open and my leg wing collapsed at first. Then after a few seconds I punched out the leg wing, and had a nice flight straight out from the wall. I felt a little longer and further than normal tracking of course, but I pulled high so I'd have plenty of time to unzip and deal with any potential problems. I had a great time, got a few pictures, packed up and did it again.

hour before through 2 seconds into jump - terrified.
2 seconds into jump through rest of jump - totally relaxed.

was a couple of weeks ago from the high nose with crampons not to exit at the wrong time...Wink
Pretty nerve racking to make it to the icy exit point!
Flight was text book!
