Interesting article on Risk
I thought many here might appreciate this interesting article on risk taking.

I apologize if this has been posted before but my search only turned up old posts by the author requesting feedback and I have not ben able to find this link posted anywhere else on here.[http://www.alpinist.com/doc/_print/web07f/rb-erik-monasterio-mountaineering-medicine] I hope the sticky link works . . . if not maybe someone can turn it into a sticky for others please . . .

Re: [Lonnie] Interesting article on Risk
i like this article. i'm giving thought to starting BASE jumping, or at least experiencing it. i do suspect my family and friends will accuse me of selfishness and recklessness. however i think if you do not think BASE jumping is something that would overpower you emotionally and you want to experience it then you should, provided you are very, very careful and don't be a dick about it. i don't put too much stock in the biology side of it, but this guy at least admits that people's reasons for BASE jumping go beyond simply taking a risk. thank you for the post dude
