TSA and Hook knives
After 120-140 plane flights in the last two years, a TSA agent finally spotted my Apex hook knife on the xray. She gets a cookie for awareness.

After seeing it and listening to me tell them what its used for, they were actually apologizing to me for confiscating it.

But as a reminder to all, don't forget to put the hook knife in your checked baggage...

edit to add: didn't mean to post this in the tech section...just a reminder to all traveling for the holidays...would suck to get to a jumping destination w/out your knife.

Re: [1108] TSA and Hook knives
I have never had a problem carrying my hook knife on board but the one time that I was nice enough to check it with my baggage some asshole stole it out of my bag. I am now happy to run the risk of having it confiscated at the gate.
