Hi, I have been working for many years in South east asia and always stop through Singapore, but I do not recommend jumping in the city. Lots of cops and specially undercover. But what you should do is take the boat to Batam Indonesia 45 min ride, Just outside the Mcdermott yard in Nagoya theire's a nice antenna... 400' . there is a few on the island So look around.
Stay safe

Re: [Gibbsy] Singapore...?
When I was in Singapore in the 90's I rode a cable car stretched from the top of one of Singapore's tallest buildings over the ocean below to Sentosa Island, a few miles off the southern tip. The cars were wide open and easily jumpable.

Unfortunately, the Sentosa Monorail was decommissioned in March 2005 to make way for the new Sentosa Express monorail, so no help here.

I would advise extreme caution in Singapore. Unless the government has gone through some drastic changes since I was there, they are famous for making up laws as needed, and are very strict with existing laws on the books. For an instance, a warning on the landing pass read: "The penalty for drug trafficking in Singapore is DEATH" in bright red letters. Singapore is NOT a free country.

On the bright side, the people and food are wonderful in Singapore. It is truly a tropical paradise, located just 1 degree, five minutes north of the equator. You should have a great time visiting there.

Sale is still prohibited, but you can bring only one pack for your consumption...
