Re: [AuburnBase] BASE Project
I'm quite sure nothing in Twin Falls is a Multi Million $ a year industry. I wonder if anything is even getting close to a Million? (Maybe the hospital, but that's not completely local anymore.)
I know the jumping brings in people that are traveling through the area. They stop for a few hours or a day and they hit up the local places. I think that's the biggest money brought in: the business people are doing in Twin Falls because of jumping. That would be impossible to track as of right now.
While base has been in Twin for a while, it's just the last three years that businesses have really embraced it, especially in advertising. The good thing about that is if base were to become illegal in Twin a ton of business would suffer just from having to change their advertising. I really think we're building a good base of people that will fight for us.
Anyway, the horror stories don't do us any good. It just makes base jumping seem even more criminal and dangerously stupid (not that base isn't dangerous).
