Hey guys,

Jumped a crane the other night and my container and a small section of the webbing got greasy. I just put the whole thing in the washing machine with a light soaping, but there is still a sticky section on the webbing.

Anyone got any tips for getting it out? I did a search and read people talking about ''woolite''. Not sure what the Australian equivalent is or if it would be the best option anyway. Cheers,

There is this new substance called degreaser that apparently gets rid of grease, but woolite should, judging by the name.... Woolmix cleans wool in Australia.

Yes, I am aware of the existence of degreaser. I just don't really like putting harsh chemicals on my gear. But I got it off anyway. Cheers,

Thanks Nick, I don't know what any of us would do without your considerable wisdom.

Surely getting industrial grease on your harness webbing would require some action, even if it was scotchgarded.

I guess I haven't spent as much time as you studying the nature of grease. That's cool, everyone has to be good at something

Just come to Houston. We have about 3 cranes up and ready to jump. I will share. Cause I just don't care 150 meters good enough for ya? Cranes are there, and then they aren't. Life is good.

I can tell you grease is not good for nature, but the daily rag is only good for wiping it up....
