BASE Rescue Course
I'm looking at organising a BASE specific rescue course in Sydney Australia. Has anyone ever run one one of these courses before?? I have a fair idea of what I reckon should be covered, would basically be 1 or 2 days with half going to first aid and the other to rope rescues.

However if someone here has seen one and saw something that worked well or has some points that came out from rescues they have performed or seen I would be very keen to hear about them. Either on this forum or in a message.

If you are an Aussie jumper and keen on coming, check out the Aussie base board and put your name down, it will most likely be free.

Re: [Jamesm] BASE Rescue Course
Hi James,
I took the ABAT (APEX BASE ADVANCED TRAINING) Course in Moab, UT with Jimmy and Marta. Their course is centered around back country base rescue, first aid, map reading, climbing, rappeling, pick-offs etc. This was the best money that I have invested in BASE thus far. Below is a link to what they offer. I think every BASE Jumper should invest the money to learn the skills offered in APEX's course as well as the course you are looking to do. Moab is probably the closest thing to Australian Back Country that we have in the States. Good luck.
