World record attempt
Since it doesn't seem to have been mentioned here yet... Tomorrow, October 27 (at 10.00 MSK?), a world-record synchronized BASE jump attempt will be made in Moscow, Russia. Weather permitting, jumpers will make a synchronized leap from both the Ostankino television tower http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ostankino_Tower and the under-construction Federation Tower http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Federation_Tower.
Roughly 50 jumpers are expected to participate in the world record attempt. AFAIK, this will be the first time legal BASE jumps have been organized from Ostankino television tower since 2004.
Feel free to join in by jumping your local object at precisely 10.00 AM MSK (02.00 AM EST, for all you Americans).

It'd be cool to see an unofficial tally of how many people around the rest of the world also participate (even though they wouldn't all be synchronized down to the second).
Was on the 30 way in 04 and that was one of the coolest jumps. Good luck and be safe ish!!!

. but good luck!!
