I just saw that on a dz.com post. That is some seriously disgusting flying. I had always heard the V2 was the most widely used suit in base, is the acro closing in?

Thats not a Acro wingsuit. The one Jean Loic is flying is his own S-fly from flyyourbody. And the yellow and black one Esben is flying, is a prototype of a "speedsuit" from phoenix fly if I'm not mistaking.

Just to clarify..

the norgies for example use "smaller" suits to fly steeper and faster,...to use more power...
makes sense on terain flying....

I have watched a lot of proximity flying videos.

I think this is the first one where I have seen acrobatic moves (flips, rolls) in proximity flying...

Although, when a BASE jumper starts a video by saying, "that got boring, so we..." I wonder what is next...

Thanks for posting this video, it is one of the better ones. I liked it because it moved quickly, was short, and left you wanting more...

That video made the front page of Digg News yesterday.

It's interesting that when something like a building jump is shown to wuffos the comments tend to lean toward "That's nuts," but this wing suit proxy video was all, "Man, I gotta get me one of those!"

Normally I would wonder if this is a good or bad thing but since I'm now on the organizational bandwagon I see it as a good thing. It's obvious, judging from the negative posts following my bringing up organizing, most of us, the current and previous generations of BASE, are carrying too much baggage to ever change our spots.

But the reaction this WS video received makes me further believe it will be a future generation of BASE jumpers, maybe the very next one, which takes the logical next step. In the 1980s one of the first BASE jumping organizations was the Cliff Jumpers Association of America (CJAA). Figuring "Cliffs" were the only BASE objects that outright belonged to the "people" it would be there we could make a stand and push our agenda. It didn't work back then because there was one huge missing ingredient. In order for anything like this to work you need a supportive, or at least, ambivalent public opinion behind you. When wuffos start saying, "Man, I gotta get me one of those," We are almost there . . .

Yes, that's correct and it took years of explaining ("Look, it's another letter from that looney dude in California.") for USPA to stop saying the first parachute jump was that French guy jumping from a balloon in 1797 Paris. They now say parachutes have been around for hundreds of years prior to that event but they still don't go far enough in giving fixed object jumping its due . . .
