Re: [martin.c] Razor's pictures
meeting Robert P at Brento, it looks that Rozor has problem on the new riser cover, who open all the time. Robert has to make modification in order to have it working well
speaking with Yuri k, hybrid L/D+ look better in performance

Re: [mathieu] Razor's pictures

razor has no problem any more w anything. the rig was finished right after heliboogie and since june is on sale at Morpheus technologies ( in combination w Trango Atair canopy and going full speed.

Personally, like and jumping the razor 100%. very low profile, very easy to pack and very user frendly light rig.. Shape and the way how the rig following the body is perfect.

Competitive in every aspect w other rigs on the market incl. hybrid.

Both rigs has similar characteristics in trem of performance too.

Cause of the closing system Razor is just a litle bit heavier. (0.2 kg)

What is your friends name? Maybe he should contact Morpheus directly and seek assistance.

I have 50 jumps on mine and no problems...?

Re: [mathieu] Razor's pictures
I have probably 50 jumps on my razor that I bought in April this spring. An early model before it got released and I havnt got any problems with the covers. maybe if you have to much preassure in the top corners there might be a problem but I havent felt it.

THe Hybrid is very slick, but so is the razor..... You need a small parachute to use them both. A trango or something small around 220 or smaller to get it slick.

The Hybrid has the old fasion closing flap wich I dont like. THe Morpheus flap is by far the best closing mecanism I have seen.

Is it just me, but if we start to think "slick" is cool, like skydiving, it's going to bite us in the ass eventually . . .

I realize there are certain jumpers and certain LZs where a 220 would be just fine, but you know, that isn’t how it works out. And what's next?

Sometimes, without a reserve, it's only the fact we have "big" malfunctioned mains over out heads, rather than small malfunctioned mains over our heads that saves us . . .

You make a very good point.

I would only go for the higher wing loading on jumps where the hike, flight and landing area justify it.

If people follow the trend without following the logic there will be more landing injuries.

ps. as you know Marta has been jumping a 177 for a few years now Smile

I totally agree.

I my self have several rigs for several purpouses. My smaller rig with a slick shape and a smaller canopie is strictry for tracking or/and wingsuit that I fly in Norway mostly in areas where I plan to be far away from the mountain and where I have big fields for landing.

Personally I recomend to go big in any other situation. With the vented canopies we dont have to care about low preassure in the canopies. I my self have a Flik 293 for tight landingareas or jumps where the shape and weight of the rig doesnt matter.

when in doubt, go big.

Re: [unclecharlie95] Razor's pictures
right...my goal is to have a aerodynamic "perfekt" rig, less weight on the hike and the same canopie size with reduced "bulkvolume"...Wink

to go for a smaler canopie is the wrong idea...even for wingsuit and tracking when you clear all obstacles...more fabric-more saftey...you never know...

take a look on the skydiving scene...ultra small reseves dowsizing to the max....
bad idea....but its a free world...Tongue

but we still missing pictures...Wink
