Has anyone been able to find a site which isn't "banned" according to greatfirewallofchina? I'm getting a little suspicious after having tried several innocuous websites and getting no love.

Ye, me too, dunno about that link.

I started to think that it was a fake website, spoofing China by implying that all sites were blocked.

Then I tried formula1.com and it said that it was accessible. Either the site is real, or the owner is a big F1 fan.

maybe the chinese are just blocking access FROM that website. if they know it existed, I bet they'd be annoyed.

Other than porn sites, there aren't that many sites blocked here.

I was actually looking to get hold of you for this. Glad you lurk here and was wondering how, if the sites are blocked, you managed to post on dzdotcom.

Again, there are very few sites (other than porn) which are actually blocked. Wikipedia goes on and off (it was on last month, but has been down since), depending on some of the articles. But from China, one can easily access such websites as whitehouse.gov, cia.gov, as well as every major news websites form pretty much any country...
