I am in the running as a candidate for this through my aerospace contacts.

The concept of being in an orbital trajectory though makes this it extremely dangerous as well as the issues of potential burn-up and uncontrolled spins.

There was a lady here at the perrine the other weekend, and she must of been hard of hearing because when a jumper was describing the sport to her she heard "space jumping" and continued to call it that until we left her at the top of the bridge...

The company is called Orbital Outfitters. "Have spacesuit, will fly" is their moto. I think the space dive idea is most likely a pipe dream for some time though.

the 'suit' will be basicaly a small guided capsule. not a chance it will be a 'suit'. we are talking about thousands of km/hour. we are talking about miles per second.

All the Norgies who came over to some of the early Bridge Days called it, "Space Jumping" too, at least it sounded like they did . . .

Climb the outside of the space station, jump off an get an hour plus of freefall?

The big question is would this fall under NASA or the FAA.

If you were illegal SPACE jumping, would NASA or the Air Force try to shoot you down before you landed?
