slider down gives softer openings than slider off
The slider keeps the risers from spreading as far as they would with the slider off. Does this result in a slightly softer opening when your canopy "cracks" open?

a) I am guessing you meant SLIDER OFF, not DOWN :)
b) in my experience unless it's a 0 delay (PCA/SL/some sort of unpacked jump) subterminal slider up is softer

This poll is about whether the reduction in riser spread on opening due to a slider down configuration results in a softer opening than when the slider is removed and the risers spread fully on opening.

i voted yes, based on THOURGHTS not experience.
I ALWAYS jump whith out the slider,i simply like the wing better that way.

The reasson i voted yes were as i think that forcing the risers to a straight pull in your harness and therefore a more tight possition teorethic should give you a slight more soft opening...

My thourghts are that even as you MAY get a softer opening its not as much different that you will notice it at all..

Slider down/off means you want your canopy out now and not tomo..You´ll get used to it Tongue
