Regarding this particular video, I kind of need more
information to make a decision...

IF the guy who edited the flick does NOT know the
guy who got hurt then this is really, really piss
poor form!! Someone get the tar.

IF the guy who creatively edited this footage got
the video from his good friend, who was already
out of the hospital and recovered, well then I'd say
it is just two sick friends enjoying a laugh at life.

Oh, just thought of something, could the director
and the injured jumper be the same person?
Cause that would definitely make it funny

As for posting negative things about BASE in the
public's view, well would that not help to dampen
the bravado of 18 year old guys who say dumb
shit like "I like doing extreme things like riding
my mountain bike down big hills so I am ready
for BASE jumping". Actual quote heard at the
visitor's center in Twin Falls.

Yeah, I agree newbies need to see this video, that's why the guy who it has happened to has put it on the internet. But this is an edited version, made by a fucker with no respect, who's only goal is to win youtube's producer award...

edit to add: no, the guy doesn't know the base jumper, nor the drivers involved in this... I've written to him and am awaiting a respond.

Spoofing your own carnage footage could be funny
cause it means you have healed enough to laugh
about it. BUT spoofing someone else's pain for
some lame ass internet award is just horrible!

I could not watch one of the videos because it
requires age verification and I aint about to

However, I am pretty sure the race car driver
and his buddies did not find that video funny
or appropriate either.

And SabreDave, sure, when I go in or get injure and it's on video, I'd like my friend to do stupid editing of it like this so we/they can remember the good times and laugh and keep a good souvenir about it, but in no way I'd like it being put on youtube so lil Jimmy and Linda from Texas or Ohio or wathever fucking place in the world could see this and NOT understanding what it's all about.
