Where can I buy a good full-face helmet on my way to the Go Fast Games?
I'm driving from Twin Falls to Go Fast via Ogden, UT, Cheyenne, WY, Fort Collins, CO, Denver, and Colorado Springs. Does anyone know a place that I can buy a good full face helmet on the way and maybe some body armor? I would like a helmet that is light, not too bulky, allows good vision, and excellent protection. Thanks!

The bicycle shop on Addison has nice "Pryme" full-face helmets for under $100.

If you are looking for a full face downhill mountain bike helmet... Denver has a few bike stores that specialize in BMX/Mountain biking, but they also typically are ski shops so their inventory has switched over a bit... I also found limited selection at REI in the bike section when I was looking a few weeks ago.

The names of the stores that come to mind (you will have to look up their numbers). Denver Spoke, Turin Bikes, Campus Cycles, Bicycle Village. Call first. I saw body armor marketed to downhill bikers at one of the stores, but I forgot which one... I am sure if you ask, they will know who else sells the stuff even if they don't or are out...

I would recommend hitting up Denver as the last stop, Colorado Springs will have less selection....

Dressing for the crash is always a good policy. No one is perfect every time.

Ridiculing people who take safety precautions seems incredibly counterproductive, to me.

I'm guessing that was a facetious remark. Maybe I won't wear my seat belt on the drive over, because I don't plan on wrecking my car either. Cool
