I'm probably going to camp out, but I haven't decided where yet. Is there a certain hotel or campground most people stay at?

It's Eric from NC. How's life these days? I've had a super busy year and I've been lucky to get 2 or 3 jumps a month.

I'll be in twin on Friday with my buddy Justin (BASE698). We fly into CO Springs on Wed the 12th & we don't have a car or a place to stay. I was kinda planning on camping too unless there are a couple of people that want to cram into a hotel room. Are any of the other TF locals going to RG?

If you are flying into denver and need a place to stay one night on the way down there, I live in denver and have sofas to share... Far from ideal for while you are at the games, but perfect place to crash before the 2 hour drive. I most likely will be going down to see some friends, so I could even give a ride if the schedule works out.

There is a free campground run by the City of Canon City about a mile from the bridge. It's a 5 minute drive to the bridge and about 15 minutes from town.

To get there take HWY 50 and turn on the road to the royal gorge. You will go past an amusement park called buckskin joes and go over a cattle guard. Go exactly 1.1 miles past the cattle guard and turn left on an unmarked dirt road. Make a right at the Y in the road. Follow this road for several miles and you will come to a large clearing, turn left and you will be in the campground. Despite the obscure directions to get here (I think they want to keep the average tourists out), it is a great place to camp and closer to the bridge then any hotel.

MIght be a silly question but, do they have showers?

Nope. Just toilets, a campfire ring, picnic tables, and some of the sites have shelters.

Hey Adam, Mick and I are planning on camping it. We are looking to get a site though that has showers though....

We haven't quite nailed down which campsite yet...

Thanks everyone for all the replies. There will be (at least) a three jumper contingency representing from Twin Falls. Free camping sounds awesome, except for the lack of showers. I think I will be staying at Yogi Bear's Jellystone campground. I am looking forward to seeing everyone and making some awesome jumps!

c) get hte small spoon spot, and have your girlfriend camp - price to be determined.

I convereted my GF into a wife a few years back, and my advice is not to mess with her. Trust me, I know.
