Just a thought here, which would be really super duper awesome, in forum threads have a link for "reply via PM" since a lot of threads here are replied to in that manner.

You mean kind of like the "PM" button that appears just underneath the username on each post?

kinda like that... except i was thinking it would keep the subject line from the post...

that link is prolly just fine... it's only 5 extra seconds of typing.

It's a good idea. We actually worked on a plugin that does exactly this and tested it on DZ.com - it got moved to the backburner at some point. I'll look into reviving that.

theres a backside of the coin.. what if i want to write to one whith out that line?then i need to deelete it and type what i want..

use copy/paste for the tread line then it takes 2 secs and you get the spell erro aswell if i were the poster
