ok, so what problems have the crw guys encountered with the Dacron bridal on their skydive rigs?, (ONLY the bridal, not the PC/bridal stow thing)

I am thinking of making a bridal for slider up PARTIALY out of Dacron (1000lb)

thoughts?

oh, and the reason is a weird deploymen mehtod i am thinking about, again, purely hypothetical.

I would think that it would much easier to knot. but other than that, i dont know.

The prob was with the excess Dacron bridle going under the pin and leading to a PIT special.

but the part of the bridal that will be dacron will be the meter on the PC.

 

why do you want to use dacron? tell us more about your weird deployment system.

For my SL jumps I have got manufactured what I call "special bridle".
This "special bridle" of mine has got all the standard measurements, i.e. 9'-2.74m between pin and PC attachment and so.
My "special bridle" is made out of a 5.5mm dyneema rope.
The reason behind mny special bridle fopr SL jumps is that I do not like my standard bridle bear all the abrupt force deployments occurring when, at line stretch, jumper's weight breaks the break cord through bridle seams/stitches.
My special bridle has got a break load of about 2.5 t and plenty of seams/stitches
I never used my special bridle for freefall and I will NEVER use my special bridle for freefall (unless to frefall it, is the only mean to escape from cops )

Not in Italy i guess,if cops in italy use horns and sirens they will get killed in the traffic you should be all safe mate

the weird deployment is to run a bridal through extended parts of a container, as in the 'shrivel flap bridal' thing on a Vampire wingsuit for the leg throw out, only longer without velcro.
