so my next project is learning to base.... but i have no idea where to start... so if anyone knows where or who i can learn from... and i don't know if i need to buy gear before i get started or if borrowing is a good idea or what.... anyway... if you can help me please do....

Don't listen to anyone else in this thread -- they just want to keep the fun to themselves. You can find a rig on ebay or through the classifieds on this site. Just pick something that sounds about the right size -- BASE gear is mostly all the same size anyway and the only difference in cost comes from all the rad colouring you can get on the canopy or container. Then go find your nearest local building, cliff or antenna, and go huck it. You can't go wrong -- remember, canopies WANT to open! Good luck.

go at your local Dz and try to take contact with basejumpers if there's some. you wont get the type of info you want here.

but reading the article section isnt a bad idea before you do that.
