Another climber friend of mine just died and I don't think I've been this sad since the passing of the dynamic duo. Clint and Earl together embodied everything special about BASE jumping for me. This time of year hurts alot.

P.S.- Gardner, ya know Earl was speaking to you when you jumped his rig at the memorial.......feckin toggles, who needs em'?

Special times, they were and still are, but it was so much better when they were around of course.

Thought of them both this morning just before 5 from 500, it WAS good, but again it would have been better with them.

People who use that line "at least he/she died doing what they love" just don't really understand I guess . . . .

G, H, We wil drink to them when we are all together again in a couple months!

Thought about them both a couple weeks ago on a night jump from the bridge.

One of these days we'll have to resurrect the Colorado Crew and go jump the CEya wall. Last time I tried that, a bunch of people kept getting hurt and I spent more time hiking broken people out than jumping. Of course, most of us are a bit uncurrent so we'll have to pull it off Earl-style.

It's been a long time, but not long enough.
