Re: [livenletfly] platform for the bridge
cheap way we did it-

buy two 2x10x 10' planks from the lumber yard there, and nail or screw them together very well. then slide the inside part under the concrete guardrail, maybe bring some small wedges to lock it in.

dont bounce to hard though.

Re: [Calvin19] platform for the bridge
thats sounds pretty easy. you dont think i should anchor the plank to the railings with adjustable tie downs or straps? im picturing a draw bridge type of platform, with straps fastened from the middle/front of the planks to the railing. i hope that makes sense.

thanks for the help good sir.

The easiest thing to do would be just to use the platform that's floating around town.

why not just use the one that's already there?

Re: [livenletfly] platform for the bridge
My vote is to learn how to jump the object as is before adding a platform.

You can't/shouldn't modify every object out there so learn that way first.

Re: [diablopilot] platform for the bridge
thats a good point. i guess i was in the mindset of wanting to be as stable as possible for my first jump. i feel like im going to have alot going on in my head at that moment. do you think that im over thinking it?

Re: [livenletfly] platform for the bridge
Most of the students I've seen with the option are actually more stable with the regular exit than a platform, because it gives them something to hold onto with their hands.

If you're worried about your exit stability, I'd recommend practicing the exit from a pendulator, into a pool, or in some other way. In fact, I'm going to have my pendulator set up for a First Jump Course on Saturday, if you want do some practice before you jump.

Actually I meant that in terms of stability, not exit technique. Sly
