Is there a way to make your friends list not visible to everybody, and have your name not show up on anyone else's friends list? The people you're friends with could still see your name though and all the same functions would be there, but no one would know who is friends with who except those 2 people

ex. Person A is friends with B and C. C is not friends with B.

C cannot see B's friend list and B does not show up as a friend on A's list.

I think this would be a great feature.

Why is it that people are so upset if their freinds speak to people they dont like?

My rule is:I speak to thouse i like to speak to,if you as my freind cant speak to me as i speak to others,oh there you go...Nobody deside who im speaking to or not,like im not asking people not to speak to thouse i dont agree whith or like..

Alternative you cant deside not to call them freinds then they aint visible...

The only reason I even find the friends list useful is for other features that Sangiro mentioned building into the site, like private photo albums, etc.

It's not about turning the site into myspace to see how many people you can have on your friends list. Why do I need to have strangers, or "the man", know who I consort with, or who consorts with me?

For example, lets say that I don't want you, or "the man", to know where I live. I don't put it in my profile. But if I have five friends on my list who all put Minot, North Dakota in their profile, odds are you, and "the man", can figure out where I live.

It's not about me being shy about you knowing who I talk to, it's about you not needing to know who I talk to.

then just dont list them? i mean you usaly know who you like to speak to,and you should beabel to find their profile whith out going to your freinds list..
