Original Troll MDV vs. Troll DW MDV
Are there any differences between the original Troll and the Troll DW, other than larger cross-ports??

I've jumped Tom A's raggedy 290 MDV and liked it. Opened good, flew better.

Now, one of the annual "Easter Pigs" wants to trade me his nearly new Troll 290.

Re: [stitch] Original Troll MDV vs. Troll DW MDV
The Troll DW has the P-MDV (Penta Mono Directional Valve) system. The P-MDV introduces a larger sized valve on the center cell (there is no center cell valve inlet on any other BASE canopy on the market, including the standard Troll MDV). The outer 4 valves openings are slightly smaller. I believe the total valve area is intended to be the same (I haven't measured it, but I recall Stane telling me this at Bridge Day several years ago when he was showing me the prototype), just re-arranged.

It's my opinion that the valve on the center cell yields a cleaner pressurization, and should contribute to better opening heading.
