Heading for Norway and need to buy some radios, anyone know what I should get? I know that Motorola is the shit and that I need an USA-mod. But there's a bunch of models..

Where you heading, and could you bring a pair extra if you come to Romsdalen? I know there is some few locals who always hang around when jumping, need some! They are the best supporters base jumpers could have!

That pretty much says it all. You most likely won't get 25 miles of range out of them, but they are the most powerful radios Motorola is selling right now.
Another good tip for use on all Motorola radios is to use the lower frequencies in order to broadcast the farthest (1-4 or 1-7... can't remember right now). Oh ya, and don't use 4.20... that frequency is WAY too crowded!

That is very nice done of you Avery! Im sure they will be very happy to recieve some radios! Do not need any fancy, just so they can comunicate with the jumpers. They are good supporters who always hang around. Im sure there are many here who have met Santa, and his crew. We can keep this post open, and see if there is someone coming soon to bring them. If not I will pm you the adress!

A bunch of miles, the more the better. Know that the distance posted on motorolas site is not really accurate.. What I am worried about though is the configuration. I know that there's a difference between europeen models and american models. What are you guys using? I am headed to Romsdal, I'll see what I can do with the supporters.
