Early BASE magazine Carl Boenish
I have heard that Carl Boenish edited a BASE jumping magazine. I would love to see what he wrote, what was included. I am sure someone has some old copies.

Is there any chance of putting them online here?

Any way that I might also obtain a copy?

I have all the original copies. Jean Boenish would have a major problem with the original copies being posted to the public on the internet though.

Do you think she would sell copies or is that out of the question?

The internet can be pretty anonymous.

Who wants to borrow 460's copies for about a week?

Nigel Slee has kindly scanned some of his "Jump" magazine archives (circ.'83-89) and placed them here.

Mine are priceless and aren't leaving my possession. Jean sold the last of her remaining copies about 8 years ago. That's when I got mine.

I have Jean's signature next to her cover shot of her jumping Canyon D.C.

I also have Mike Pelkey's signature on his El Cap #1 base award in one of the magazines.

Sorry guys. Don't think I can help you with this one. Contact Jean for guidance.

Who's got a scanner and laptop that wants to visit 460 for about a week? Tongue

Just kidding!

...not really.

Re: [Ten48] Early BASE magazine Carl Boenish
I would have to get permission from Jean Boenish before releasing scans to the internet. I have permission for some of my other magazines. My collection is now nearly complete. I have every BASE magazine, every BASEline magazine, every BASE Gazette, every Fixed Object Journal, and every BASE newsletter. I don't have all the (British) Jump magazines though. I have permission to release scans of the BASEline and BASE Gazette magazines.

Right, I understand.

The problem is that Jean still hasn't figured out how to profit from Carl's work, which pretty much means the rest of us are never going to get to see it.
