Cut resistant materials for carry off SL setups
I recently had my carry off SL set up "slide" a little under load before the break cord gave way. Upon post jump inspection, the steel girder it was attached to had sliced at least 1/2 way through the 800# or 900# braided dacron at the three separate points of contact. Now, I know the #1 thing is to assemble the setup in a way that precludes it from sliding, thereby eliminating the serration slicing of the suspension line. Beyond that.
What materials have a greater cut resistance than 900# Dacron yet would still be suitable for fashioning carry off SL setups? 1575# braided Dacron is obvious, and what I will be using until I find something better.
1/2" tubular 1000# webbing? Spectra? Kevlar?
Does anyone have a source for black 1575# braided Dacron line?
