along the lines of: These skiers are jumping BASE heights without the hassle of actually using BASE gear. Global warming will melt the snow and so unless they're ok with landing on rocks rather than soft snow they will have to buy BASE gear.

The clip that he was talking about came up for me.

It is guys on skis hucking huge cliffs. 210', 230' and 245'. That second guy is so lucky.

Last guy overrotated and landed on his neck/shoulders at best, looked more like his head.
