Tension Knots

Tension knots are probably the most frightening thing in base jumping. They happen at random and with out warning. Karina did nothing wrong. She has one of the cleanest and nicest pack jobs i have ever seen. This was a very unfortunate accident and totally undeserved...

I wonder if coating the lines with vegetable grade silicone spray would reduce the chance of a tension knot. That type of spray makes the lines very slick.

I shattered one of my femurs and I can tell you this is pretty difficult to deal with. Sorry to hear about this.

Beeswax is used to make thread sticky when used for thread knots in rigging. I don't see how beeswax could do anything except cause problems in this case.
