BTW, for those with Goggle Earth and Broadband take a look at the "other" side of Half Dome. Like the dark side of the moon it's seldom seen, but man, it looks as if you could skateboard right off!

I believe Frank Gambalie jumped the other side of Half Dome.

I've climbed the other side of that rock, and unless I'm really mistaken, it'd be slider down at best.

Your probably right. It was the back side of well known and frequently jumped cliff in Yosemite though.

I think he said it was the back side of El Cap. From my conversation with him, he classified that cliff jump as the most beautiful he had done in the U.S.

The back side of El Cap is a parking lot, right???

I have no idea. I have never been to Yosemite, but it's on my life list. My memory must be fading. I do recall that he said he jumped a wall on the other side of a popular Yosemite spot. He said it was incredibly beautiful and maybe a little dicey.
