I assume you're having problems with reading the display? Check this thread.

not having problems reading or anything. i have not ever tried it out at night.

just curious if anybody had any "targeting issues" in differen't types of light/city lights/pitch black night no moon light and cloud cover.

having no experience with this range finder just wondering what targeting issues might have come up?????

edit to add: just tried it out (at night) also had trouble seeing the target crosshairs in the dark while looking up a building about ahalf hour ago any tricks for aiming/seeing in the dark??????
thanks

IR pulse emitted is always the same day or night. just always try to hit something flat to get a good report with reflection.
just shoot the IR. then when it's locked on the range-reading. Move the view finder into an illuminated area of light to make a visual reading of the range.

I have the same LD finder. Bridge a small light or cell phone to see the reading. Laser the object from the exit point, you can't mis the ground. Just make sure you don't hit a dish or building near the landing area. That will do teh trick!

And combined with the calculator on your mobile phone, and pythagoras theorum, it becomes very useful, day or night.
