Thank you all for your interest and for your nice comments here and in another thread on this forum. I'm really glad to hear you like it.

And... i cannot make any adequate opinions now -- i've seen every frame of this movie like 1000 times while editing it and demonstrating it to my friends. Honestly i almost hate it. I cannot say is it good or not, interesting or boring.... so please go on and put your opinions here.
Any feedbacks are more than welcome.
I will read them all and i will remember them and pay to it as much attention as i can then i'll be working on my next movie.
I really love BASE and i wish i'll be able to catch the right point and improve my skills to make them suit my intentions. I want people feel something while watching my video stuff.

I got the DVD today and i have to say, some of your camera work and the jumps are truly stunning. I really loved watching it and was very impressed.

My one comment which i hope is helpful to you, is that after watching it, i still don't know anything about you. I would have liked to have got a glimpse into the person behind the images. You know, the stuff the happens just before and just after the jumps. Do you get knackered climbing that local of yours, do you get cold, do you get scared, all the footage which you probably cut out cos you thought was of no interest, but i think it is.

The wood chopping at the end was class. It was a window into some little story which must have meant something to you or you wouldn't have included it. Consequently it means something to the viewer too.

BASE footage is great on it's own, but put a human story behind it and it becomes utterly fascinating. I think you have a great story to tell (in fact i know you do cos you posted about how you were becoming disillusioned at one point) and with your next video you should really tell it.

Keep up the great jumping and amazing camera work. Look forward to your next offering

Thanks Ian. I know it. And I will do it in my next movie. I cannot promise it will be me playing a hero or a person who has a story to tell.... I can promise it won't be me. But some of my friend are the people i should to tell about Saved to memory. I'm working on story now.

I received my copy yesterday and I had high hopes from the preview I saw.

First Impressions:

It was dirty and raw in some ways, and very crisp in others. I enjoyed the fact that the video (as the title would dictate) focused on the female perspective, and even though there were a couple dudes in the movie, the focus was kept on track.

I also enjoyed the various music selections that were chosen for this project. Even though various in tastes, all songs still match and go with the flow of the video.

Additionally, most of the ariels were very nice, but they also showed a couple of the dirty ariels, making sure to keep it real. Oh yea... a couple of the clips had some real nie subterminal tracks...

And last but not least, I can truly say that my expectations and high hopes were met and exceeded with this production.

Being married to a Russian woman myself, I look fwd to enjoying the intense creativity and passion for expression that these beautiful Russian women have. My wife has never done anything half assed and pours her heart and soul into every task at hand with absolutely no fear and no remorse, Im sure Lika has done the same from the sounds of her efforts. I have no doubt it will fill me with longing to hurl my body off the nearest object.

Lika, I hope it comes today as it will be a Kick Ass birthday present.

You don't need to play a superhero. What you do (we all do) is extraordinary anyway. Your story would be fascinating exactly because you're human and not super human.

Holy fuck, Lika, I like this video. It's not even the "female outlook" thing though that makes it interesting... But I think you've managed to capture some truly beautiful moments in BASE.

Lika the DVD was great ... I was supposed to be preparing my end of contract review with my boss and i couldn't stop watching ... A great DVD in a different vein to all the "BASE ROX" Metal type DVDs (not that there's anything wrong with that type either) but it was great to watch something different ...

I would love to go and flik some of those objects they look great ... Maybe i'll have to book some flights !!!!

Ok, i already got a question about .iso file. So, you should use DaemonTools to emulate virtual cd-drive, or MagicISO to create a disc. All of this you can find on piratebay

Seed it just for a while, just by the time there will be enough people.

This means -- do not quit the bit-torrent client or shut down the upload speed. This is the basic idea of bit-torrents -- more people got the pieces of the file available, so there is more little channels others can get the whole thing through.
It increases the speed.
You can slow down the uploading speed a bit -- so it wouldn't slow other things you do in web, but do not remove the movie or shut down the client for some more time.

In an attempt to cover its massive ass, our university's got a packet shaper that blocks all BT traffic. And for some reason my box outside the network isn't responding... which can't be good. No luck here, it seems, unless someone's got a copy hosted someplace.

If it's free to distribute and someone hooks me up with a copy of the ISO, I could try to host it off my PC here for a while for others to get.

I have just completed the Bit Torrent download and have ended up with a 1.57GB iso file. I had not seen one of these before so I tried trusty old (Free)VLC player. Yep, it opens and plays perfectly. I have only watched the first five minutes so I can't comment in depth but it looks amazing and for sure I've got to get my ass out of East Africa and onto some of those mega cliffs.

Looks like my router decided to become stupid. The torrent is up again. Problem is- the net I am on likes to degrade the quality of torrent traffic, and one way to get around this is to enable encryption in your client. Regardless, I've got my Apache box running again (whee!) so if people are still having trouble with lack of seeds, PM me for a direct link to the file.

Everyday i see two or more people trying to download the torrent but all leechers i seen have given up in the beginning because of the super low speed. The thing is we are the only seeders. So could anybody of you please seed it for some time? Just to make some more downloads real as soon as we still have some people willing to watch it.

Ok..I downloaded it. Thanks it's great. I want to burn in to dvd in order to get it off my hard drive and free up some space. How can I convert this iso file.

You don't need to convert the ISO file- it is already in the format most ready for a DVD. Your burning software should have an option for "Burn DVD Image" or "Burn ISO Image" or something like that. Choose that option, select the file, and hit Ok. That should do it for ya

Lika- I just finished watching the video. It was absolutely incredible... it blows away all the other DVDs I have, and it's definitely one of the best I've ever seen. Thank you so much for sharing it!

I hope you do another one at some point, and let me second the suggestions that it include a personal aspect.

For what it's worth, there's a fairly high speed mirror in Norway mirroring FOBASE: http://mirror.trivini.no/..._Outlook_on_Base.iso - it should give decent speeds across Europe, at least, and depending on your ISP, good speeds across the pond as well.
