Hey,

does anybody have any information on weight differences between containers? I heard the Gargoyle is typically heavier than the Perigee, but I'm curious to hear more details and about other containers.

I could ask manufacturers, but they can only give me a bunch of numbers for particular models and sizes of their rigs. I'm more interested in hearing from people that have jumped or own multiple rigs.

Imagine hypothetically you wanted the rig to be as lightweight as possible, what are some of the things you could do? Integrated risers, composite hiprings, etc?

The difference between a Zak (integrated risers, no options) and a Track (deluxe backpad, 3-rings, hip rings) that I own is 700g (1.5 pounds).

If you cut out all hardware. No grommets except flap grommets. Then remove all Padding/Skrim. No inner Lining, No decritive Tape or Binding. One piece thick only continues Rap harness webbing from Lift to leg-strap. Then basically just have the thinnest/lightest weight of Parapack as Container body for containing your canopy.

You could order a 5 cell canopy with dental floss for the lines and the bridle. stop by a SAFEway and grab a plastic bag for your PC.

did you considder to buy a bigger canopy,becourse if that diff makes the deal then you wont beabel to eat same day as you want to jump either..
