This may be a dumb question but what the heck!

So I'm packing my bags for the TF Mem weekend and I was hoping to not have to check any of them but while getting my gear together I realized that they probably won't let me take my T-stake on the plane.

Has anyone else been able to take a T-stake carry on??

It should be fine if I put it in a checked bag though right?

Edit to add: Because I remember taking Paintball guns to AZ and as long as we told them the guns were in the bag it was fine, and we had to show that the CO2 containers were empty.

 

The way they have been lately they will probably get me for the T-stake and not the Cocaine and heroine!

why would u need to bring a t steak any way clamp your leg staps around a tree or use a rock to hold your rig or just give me your money if u want to burn it ill at least party with it

This is the funniest question I've heard. They took the fold up scissors from my first aid kit. I had to give up a few small clamps as well.

They may let you carry on the large decorative stabbing device though.

I bought the T stake but then again I've also bought machine guns, drugs and girls. However I did not vote for Bush...I'm not kidding...about any of it.

Eat the Whole Box of laxative and Safely Pass the Triax T-Stake though your small and Large Intestines then Colon and out your Anis.
Then Repeat process to return your local Airport and starting destination. ....

Ya I'm grabbing a flying seat on a little private that another jumper is piloting. If we don't Burn-In to a mountain side in bad weather I think we will be there, fri. afternoon to Sun. afternoon.

Damnit Pope and the rest of Triax to ruin peoples lifes to get them adicted to their products,and more important becourse they got the idea before people started to use Rocks etc..

we will probably be lucky to find grass to pack in anyway. Been there with just about 10 of us and it was crowded.. Where there is a will, there is always a BASE jump.

Why do you think so many people do unpacked jumps there, silly ? You didn't think it's because they are lazy, did ya ? It's cuz otherwise there are long lines for the packing area :)

Yea thanks Faber! Actually I did. I made one last night. And wow, I forgot how fast slider down/off opens. My last 40 jumps have been slider up. That mo fo surprised me!

Hehe, well I figured I'd bring it and try it out since I’ll be packing outside. I haven’t even used it yet.

first, you won't need it... somebody's got a car battery you can use...

second, airport security is far from a constant. i flew to germany last summer with my rig on, hook knife and all. not so much as a second look.

third, if you do want a stake... they're about $0.99 at kmart for a 4-pack. check the camping section.

Besides we all know it does amazing things like help you loose weight, pick up chics, help your aerials and other crazy things. Word has it that there is video footage of Magot saying that if he had bought a T-Stake he would not have been stuck on a wall in the West.


$100 to anyone who can sneek a T-Stake onto a commercial airliner and take a picture at the boarding gate and in your assigned seat. This must be a major airline and a major airport. Good luck.

PS: In an answer to packing indoors with the T-Stake we will be selling a sandbox that you can erect indoors and place your T-Stake into the sand.

Make sure the sand box comes complete with the Triax Cat Shit Scooper which can also double as a shot glass and an IV kit for those heavy drinking nites.

I usaly only finger tight my conectorlinks(assume its the same),but thats me and only in case ill need a slider on or of so it aint that often

For starting this thread and bringing attention to their product, I think they owe you one anyway - so ask for them to send you one to take to the airport...

I know right!!! I actually got to use it today for the first time. Hell of a tool. Put it in the ground through my three rings and my rig didn't move a cm.

If i had a free one I'd try to get it on the plane. I've got a few Ideas.

Thats right. that was the only jump i ever did with out my T steak. 15,321 base jumps and that was my first off heading opening and it was beacuse i did not use my T steak. the moral of the story is T steaks save lives ,and get u hot chicks.

They let us take them on the plane from Twin Falls all the way to Atlanta. I couldn't believe it either.
