Without looking to Google or other websites, just your knowledge, - who knows what this is?
"Differential stow"

I would be interested if this knowledge is still being carried forward with new jumpers...

Has the TG made this knowledge worthless? or do you think this is something worthwhile knowing?

W/out knowing the past the future cannot be predicted.

I've tried DS both slider down and up and I'm still here to tell the story.

Edit: I explained what it is so I edited it out.. yes I know what it is.

As for the tail gate ... A tail gate may or may not help with nose first inflation. It will help to keep the tail and the nose away from each other because it encourages line management.

Video shows that the back section of the parachute often expands first during bottom skin inflation even with a tail gate.

I've tried it. I used it for a while slider up. I decided it was a bit more trouble than the return, but I still think it might not be such a bad thing on slider up stuff.

I already knew what it is, but I've never tried it.

Tom. According to CR, the differential stow was never to be used for slider up jumps, just slider down/off.

I was taught by CR to use the tail gate in conjunction with a primary stow and was never taught the differential stow method.

Why do you think it might be useful on slider up jumps?

Because there is no tailgate on many slider up packjobs, and line overs have been observed despite the slider. The differential stow, in theory, ought to help the canopy to achieve nose first expansion.
