I just read the skydive mag thread and I am really wondering what is going on within the BASE community.

Are you guys being serious at all or is this just a big fuzz/joke?

I just entered in the sport and Jerry has been the one of the BEST guy, if not the best ever, I have ever met.

Not only he tought me how to do my first jumps, he never, ever, talks bad about any other BASE jumper.

Do you guys hit on each other on the net because you are just bored, or is this thing for real?

I would like some straight answers.

Jerry is quite different in person than he appears here in the virtual world.

Remember that Maggot is creating an image for himself here (one that doesn't actually match too well with what he's like in real life). You can't blame people for reacting to that image, since he is the one creating it.

In general, you assume that what people say about themselves is what they want to present to you. If you spend a bunch of effort trying to make people get mad at you, it seems natural that they will respond by actually getting mad, doesn't it?

i highly suspect you are not alone in your confusion.

when i first started on this site a regular poster 'cornishe' made many a post that i viewed as highly sarcastic and not to be taken seriously. i had many a laugh (viewing the comments as merely humor) although i soon saw that many others were highly upset by his comments (viewing them as serious).

then i watched several months of bickering between a highly distinguished jumper (the mCco___y is named after him) and our moderator tom (who does a wonderful job of trying to keep the peace). as of recently there seems to be peace there.

recently magot seems to be either highly sarcastic (if viewed that way) or highly combative (if viewed seriously).

i am not sure how it would be accomplished, but i suppose there are many out there that would like to see the community getting along better here on the internet.

lets also hope the conflict stays here on this site and never finds its way to the exit point. that would truely be bad.
i suspect we all find our peace at the exit.

and last night she was doing home work while i was flicking and yuri had to ground crew me not nearly as hot
but I sleep with him none the less. he does shoot good video though

She's not the best speller either but her spelling is light years further from Maggot's

Now I don't know if she is as cute as she appears on the avatar but she sure sounds pretty sweet on the phone.

Maggot by the way is taking a good care of her even outside BASE, it's my understanding

Felonie, it was nice meeting you yesterday! You are a beautiful additon to Big Apple crew. I hope we'll groundcrew together for Jerry next time. It's good you didn't go with us yesterday, I caught cold soaking in the rain...

The solution is simple:

Bring felonie along to Twin later this month and she can embarrass Dear Abby with her mad skillz.

I hear he only does 2 ways these days.

And only with a rubber ducky.

You never get to see the rubber ducky, but you can tell he’s along for the ride by the way Dear Abby walks waddles…

especially when he is wearing a blonde wig, white skirt and bathing suit top..........
