I heard I could get some info here on BASE. I was told at my local DZ
that people around my area do jump. And maybe I could come watch, learn and then jump-eventually. FYI I live in a 48-story building in Manhattan. Enough said!

You've only registered recently and your only posts have been asking about BASE activity in your area. The avatar and mentioning you live in a high rise building while probably intended to raise interest will definitely raise suspicion.

What is your local DZ? Perhaps one of us knows an active BASE jumper there who we can point in your direction.

my home DZ is in my profile, un like yours and I just regesterd because my friends told me this where I should go. I thought I would find some one with an open mind. and since u don't live by me, and can't help me F off. PS my post already got me all the info I need I'm going to ground crew tonight.

I still do not know what route to go: a FJC as many suggested in the PM or learn from a mentor as some are willing to be.

Both.

Those are complementary learning courses, not exclusive ones. Get a mentor, then take a FJC, hopefully stick around in TF with your mentor for a week or so, then head home and learn more.

How about getting a mentor, talking with him about BASE and agreeing on doing a FJC, he could then mentor you after you would have had the basic knowledge?
