Tranum's biography is called "9 Lives." It's extremely rare, but well worth the read if you can find it. All the copies I know of (that's a single digit number) are in reserve rooms at libraries or museums. I read the one (in multiple sittings) housed at the San Francisco Airport Museum Library.
