I just went to pack my chute tonight and found a souvenir in my canopy from Bridge day. A nice 2 * 1 ½ inch rock from the landing area. I laid down my canopy and as I was flacking it and getting a little air out of the nose and felt a bulge. I was like WTF! Had a good laugh when I found out what it was.

So anyone else find anything interesting in their canopies after a jump?

I've found all kinds of weird crap in my canopies over the years.

Here is one of my findings.

while packing for my secondjump i aparently scooped up two similar rocks deep into two different cells... as i was finishing up the packjob, and didnt want to ruin said pj looking for a stupd rock, i just packed 'em right in....
fast forward to jump two, a two way both side float, as i open facing partner, i got a nice solid "thock" directly on top of my head... still have the knot..

guess thats my bd souvenier...

(sidenote..had i been wearing a helmet,this would have been nothing at all....)

Ouch!! Yea I had to mess up my packjob to get it out. I did it for that exact reason.

BASE canopies are like a shark stomach...

one jump I scooped up a couple leaves in just 1 cell.

Next jump a couple days later, I went HH and took a sec delay and unbenounced to me out came the leaves pressed together. Below me I saw my bud running off to my right and I was wondering why... he ended up catching the leaves...

after a tower jump on a hot summer night, I started packing in my house and I found more crickets and spiders than I could count. had to keep opening a window to throw them out I think I got them all!

Haha yup you and me both. Them soy plants are full of them I guess!

One time I stashed my Perigee Pro/BlackJack after a jump and when I went to pack I pulled out a Gargoyle/Fox. Oops, grabbed the wrong stash bag. Sorry, buddy. Nice souvenir though.

on the subject of BASE Souvenirs, what have "you" taken back from objects, places, trips relating to the BASE trip?

in all seriousness, mostly rocks.... intentionally...
and a flower once, from interlaken, pressed into my journal...
and lots of pictures...

there was al lady once at the DZ, an AFF-instrutocr who lost her keys. she searched al over the place for more than an hour and was really stressing out. eventually, she repacked her canopy and found them in there.
She had a good laugh.
