I think if it's your qualifying jump for that category, then it should be a classic example of that category. If it's your first cliff, make sure it's a cliff. If it's your first building, make sure it's clearly a building.
Other than that, just log it as a BASE jump and have a good time. I don't put the category of object in my logbook at all. I just write a brief description of the jump, exit point, gear, weather, who was on the load, etc.
I don't worry about categories.
You know Faber even logs scary skydives as BASE jumps. I looked through his logbook and he only has about five actual BASE jumps in there
