Suggestions
I have never really fancied BASE jumping before but as time goes by & i see videos etc i am wanting to do it more & more. I am unsure of how to go around it etc. Also, do people suggest i wait till i have done more skydives etc??

dont believe the hype...the video you see makes it look all nice and fluffy...it aint...keep skydiving for a bit and get at least 450-500 jumps under your belt before you even entertain it.

Read and digest the world BASE fatality list,get more current (133 jumps in 2 years isnt)Read all the knowledge threads...speak to experienced jumpers in the UK..do some groundcrew...save your money and go and do a course in the states...

then write a will.

Cheers for the info there matey. I am actually very current, in my 1st year i hardly done any jumps as was on Static line but after a while i went on to AFF. i agre tho with what you are saying, do more jumps etc. I dont intend on doing anything till well over 200 jumps anyway just thought i would look into it

not everyone seems to see the article entitled "Getting into BASE". you might have seen it, or like others, you might not. how was I to know?

Definitely find your local jumpers and ask them for advice in person. Knowing them will make the process both easier and safer. Have you tried posting on the UK board?

I'd definitely suggest more skydiving first. Be sure to pay attention to what you are doing with the skydives. Training accuracy and canopy skills (CRW is great for that) will be very helpful. If you're planning a trip to Norway, you'll also want to spend some time dialing in your track.

Other than that, you've probably already read everything I have to offer on the subject, since it's all in that link at the top of the page.
