I want to jump my rock dragon 266 at the drop zone.
Any input about what could be the best container for doing this.

A very large student skydiving container should do the trick. Accuracy containers also ought to fit the canopy.

hopefully, that means a smaller, quiet dz.

I know a friendly dzo who is a pilot, rigger, and an old-school jumper. he keeps belly mount reserves in date in case someone wants to jump a t10...
when it's slow, I've attached a belly reserve to my BASE rig and climbed into his Cessna.

(unfortunately he always gives me at least 750')

jumping the whole setup is the way to go.

of course, in the US, it is effectively another BASE jump. you don't want to run around talking about it.

if you can't get away with that, others use some sort of big student rig. some even swap the main from rental gear.

I believe I've seen other people posting that they've done this legally in Canada.

A Javelin J-5 might work, but I don't know for sure if today's larger BASE canopies still fit in them. I've been hoping (and begging) the BASE gear manufactures to TSO a BASE pin rig with a front mounted reserve to finally solve this problem. Yes, I know it's expensive but I think almost everyone who BASE jumps would be a candidate to purchase one.

Another approach, in the USA anyway, might be to pursue the FAA waiver process. BASE rigs have long proven themselves in the field and the burden of the TSO process seems rather silly at this point. But, I don’t know, I can see all the cans of worms that would open . . .

I want to have a permanent setup with my base canopy that I will be able to jump at any dropzone. Taking experience on landing my base canopy is a good thing plus I need to upsize my skydiving canopy. I will sell my skydiving rig for buying an accuracy container and reserve. Or maybe a sorcerer is a good option ? but I do not know if we can junp a sorcerer on a dropzone. Doing reserve in wingsuit with a sorcerer mean one more step than a reserve with a skydiving because we must cut our wings before being able to reach the activation handle. I'm comfortable with that but I dont know about dropzone operators.....

The Germans BASE legaly by wearing a reserve,the hole setup is TSOéd i cant rember which harness it were(which as there were 2-3? i think),the "main"canopy dont need to be TSOéd on regular skydiving,which means you can just ask a rigger to make papers on it and then you can use your BASEcanopy as a main in the skydive envioment..
I dunno how they do about the reserves through..

I would also suggest to buy a Accurasy rig or a CREW rig which some times also are big enough to fit a BASEcanopy(atleast thouse i saw).

The Sorcerer is not TSO'd, so you wouldn't be able to legally jump it out of a plane in the U.S.

If you're looking for something with crossover potential, and a reserve, try checking out the Vectors with the Skyhook. The Skyhook is essentially a modern, streamlined version of the Sorcerer system.

I borrowed a big javelin and free stowed my new Rock Dragon 288 in it. Had to lengthen the closing loop a little and it took some squeezing to fit it in but it worked fine.
Sorry don't know the size of javelin, I'll try to find out for you.

Yes, from foreign gear the Perigee Pro is legal in Germany (with D-rings for the reserve), so is meanwhile the Zak from Adrenalin. There is also some legal gear from local (i.e. German) manufacturers, but only velcro rigs I believe.

There are certain specifications to meet, so above is only a general overview.
